Maus

I am really enjoying reading this book. I actually read the whole first book and chapters one and two of the second one all today and i really did not want to put it down. I think the drawings are really amazing and i think the fact that he used cats and rats or mice or watever was really a good idea because it really shows how the jews felt during that time. So i really enjoy this book and the transitions are good. :D

Blankets chs. 1+2

I REALLY got hooked to this book. I wanted to read it all in one sitting, but i did not really have time. Like Fun Home, the pictures in this novel also make the story seem a bit gloomy. I liked how a lot of the drawing looked very abstract and weird. I did not really know what was going on in them, but they showed me how Craig was feeling at the time. I was pretty surprised by some of the events that happened in the story. For example, the babysitter who like molested them, their father being so mean and abusive towards them, and the way that craig was treated by his classmates. I did not expect him to be picked on as much as he did. But anyways, i really liked this story and i would probably definitely read it again!

Fun Home chs. 1+2

I really enjoyed the beginning of Fun Home. It hooked me right at the beginning and really made me want to read the rest...which is a good thing because most school books i kind of just want to stop right after the first night of reading. I really like the graphics of the novel, it made the story seem very realistic, and a little gloomy. (i know that it was real).
